A great car is a great car. The Mercedes SLR fits the description and tuners have made the engine bay of this car their canvass. This just proves that the SLR etches its name on the important annals of the auto industry.
Florida-based tuner Renntech transformed an SLR and made it to the superlative of all the SLRs. It gave the car some boosting and gave its power plant a 777 horsepower output. The modification makes it more sinful and making most of the car’s lightweight design.
This version of the Mercedes SLR is aptly called the Renntech 777. It can easily zoom to its top speed of 210 mph with its 5.5L supercharged V8 engine revving like hell.

Renntech 777 is a heavily modified car. Aside from the engine tweaking, the suspension system of the car was redesigned. The driveline was also reconfigured. Control on high speed cornering is made possible by new differential system that makes full locking between the wheels.
It might sound like committing a capital sin when making a great car even greater. Renntech disclosed that they are just producing 20 of its kind to celebrate their 20th year in the business. Renntech promises more excitement as they make more extreme vehicles from other manufacturers.

Mercedes Benz displays the Sterling Moss version of the SLR at the Detroit Auto Show. This $1 million piece of automotive art is the last of the line before it fades away in the history books.
The SLR is the brainchild of the collaboration between Mercedes and McLaren. The project will end this year.
